Abuse, Gaslighting & The “Race Card”

I’ve been in white dominated spaces for most of my life. Learning how to navigate such spaces early on was a natural part of my development, like walking or saying my first words. Survival and assimilation tactics such as code switching or learning how to make myself smaller to make white folk comfortable came naturally to me.
